The Importance of Startup Communities and Building "Treetop Hideaways" Nationwide with Enoch Elwell

Enoch Elwell is supporting over 4,000 businesses each year along with his team at CO.STARTERS. Wow!!!

Enoch and his team, as you’ll hear in the interview above (or by watching the video embedded below), partner with ecosystem builders, integral service providers (i.e. banks, foundations, and large corporations looking to give back) to create and support new startup communities nationwide and even as far-ranging as New Zealand.

Through their Road to Recovery program, CO.STARTERS is humbly supporting companies who are hurting the most due to the pandemic in dozens of often-overlooked startup communities. There’s tons of free resources on their site, plus affordable programming for businesses who can afford to invest in upskilling their staff.

When Enoch isn’t supporting this community of entrepreneurs he’s helped to build over the last 6+ years, he’s building and opening new Treetop Hideaways, which are “rustic and refined” Airbnbs currently right on the Tennessee - Georgia border.

(In fact, I’m staying at the Elements Treehouse next week, which claims to be the first Gigabit treehouse and an ongoing collaboration with Dove Men+Care, which is fitting given Enoch’s penchant for partnerships.)

There’s so much we can learn from Enoch, and so I’d recommend listening to our conversation right away and reaching out to him at enoch@costarters.co if you’d like to learn more about CO.STARTERS, sleeping in a tree, and more.

Enoch Elwell is the CEO of CO.STARTERS. He has been involved with startups since his grade school popsicle stand, with his latest adventure being a luxury treehouse retreat, TreetopHideaways.com.

Driven by a passion to help others, Enoch currently supports hundreds of emerging startup communities through the CO.STARTERS platform, helping local ecosystem builders around the world take the first steps in accelerating the success of thousands of creative starters annually.

Together, these nontraditional small business owners are growing a thriving culture of collaborative entrepreneurial support in their communities.

Enoch is committed to accelerating the convergence of economic development and community development beyond the CO.STARTERS Community. He is globally recognized for his expertise in providing strategic support to the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in establishing the field of "Ecosystem Building" through the ESHIP Summit Community, as a founding board member of the Startup Champions Network, as a founder of the Rural Rise national network of leading rural entrepreneurship support organizations, and as co-founder of The Company Lab (CO.LAB) and the GIGTANK, a boutique accelerator and community building organization that played a key role in the entrepreneurial renaissance of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
